I just found out that my aunt passed away at 7:30 this morning (my mom's sister). She had been battling cancer since 1998, and they had to stop the chemo a couple of months ago because her heart was so weak (she had a heart attack about 20 years ago). My Mom also lost another sister to cancer in May. My Mom is the 9th out of 10 children, and only her younger sister and her are left. If you could, please say a prayer for my Mom...she has been through a lot lately. In addition to losing her 2 sisters, she has been helping my sister who is going through a nasty divorce and nursed me back to health after my surgery.

Thanks.

You and the family have my prayers and condolences. I've been there myself, so I know just how taxing it all can be.

Sorry to hear that

Sorry to hear that

Hello Bryan, so sorry to hear about both your aunts' passing within such a short time from each other. I'll remember your mum in my prayers too.

Hi Bryan...

Hi Bryan...

I am so sorry about your aunt...it seems like your mum has been through quite alot and this is one thing she didn't need. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers..Take Care, Harrybaby666 :( :(

You and your family will be remembered in my prayers. My deep sympathy to all of you.

Sorry to hear about your Aunt, Bryan... my deepest sympathy to both you and your Mum. It sounds like she's had more than her fair share to deal with this year. Of course I will keep her (..and you..) in my thoughts.

My best wishes to you both
Anna

Thanks everyone. My Mom is such a caring and giving person, I'm just worried about all of this affecting her health. I will be flying back to Nashville on Sunday to pay some bills and get my COBRA paperwork completed so I can have my 6 month checkup and echo (paperwork should be in the mail when I get home). Then I will either drive or fly back to Raleigh on Wednesday to babysit the dog again so they can attend the memorial service on the 17th in San Antonio.

I had a "relapse" of intense sternum pain over the weekend and had to go back on pain meds (had been off of them for a month). I also need to start looking for a job, and with the sternum not getting better I'm a bit anxious about what I will be able to handle, whether or not I will find something back home, etc. Just kind of frustrating...things went so smooth the first couple of months post-op and now it seems like everything that can go wrong has. I know things will get better...I just hope it happens soon! :)

I am so sorry...........

I am so sorry...........

Oh, Bryan, I am so sorry to hear this. Your mom sounds like one tough cookie, but enough is enough already. I will never understand why some people get "dumped" on so much more than others.............sigh! Whatever happened to sharing the load? Your mother (and you) will certainly be in my prayers, and I do hope you encourage her to get regular checkups. Many hugs being sent y'all's way.

Dear Bryan - it's raining in your family, isn't it. My deep sympathy on the loss of your aunt. Your mother is in my thoughts.

Mothers are just the best, aren't they. We all should thank them all the time. And hug them every chance we get.

Bryan..Sorry to hear about your Aunt..Hope your Mother will take care of herself.......and not to be a bearer of bad news..HOPE Ivan doesn't put a damper on things next week.  Flying or driving back to N>C.Bonnie

Bryan, I've been gone for a couple of days. I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt and your poor mother. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Brian,

Sorry to hear your family is going through such difficult times. Sounds like you have an amazing mom. No family deserves such heartache, much less all at once.

Melissa

Tough break on the relapse Bryan. Perhaps it is a sign to take things a bit easier.... even if you feel you can leap tall buildings. Hope the pain meds help and you are back on track again soon.

Best wishes
Anna : )

Sorry to hear about your aunt. Just lost my father to cancer this summer. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom.

Bryan,

I'm so sorry to hear the bad news about your aunt. Please tell your mom we're thinking of her. She is a pretty tough cookie for being such a sweetheart. She's had a lot to deal with this year, but you wouldn't know it to sit down and talk with her. We enjoyed meeting her in April.

hang in there, yourself...
