A little boy in one of my son's swim lesson class has a zipper scar and I was talking to his mom about it yesterday. He has had 2 OHS's; the first at age 3 to remove a subaortic membrane and the second at age 4 to repair his mitral valve. The mom said that the surgeon accidentally punctured the mitral valve during the surgery to remove the subaortic membrane. They then watched the puncture for a year, and determined it was too leaky/not healing itself and did the repair.
hhhmmmmmmmmmmm.... not a very cool story at all. I have placed that surgeon on my "definitely no" list!

as scarey as it is, I have heard things like that or worse from just about ever
well known surgeon. I see you live in pa where does Andrew get seen? Lyn

darn you are fast lol I wanted to add to my previous post that since the little ones hearts are the size of a walnut it amazes me that more things like that don't happen,
where do you live in pa? I lived in western pa 4th -12th grade in Franklin about an hour north of pitts and hour south of erie, right in the middle of nowhere lol, Lyn
