The day had finally come on June 8th for my AVR. I went to Miami, had surgery on June 8th and all tubes came out on Friday, June 11, going home on Saturday. I would recommend anyone that has the opportunity to have minimal invasive surgery for AVR, look into it. I already feel like a million bucks. I know I have the month of recovery but I am so surprised at what I have experienced. Thanks to one and all for all the love and ecouragement. Any questions, please ask.

Am very happy for you Sandi. I was wondering how things went. Take it real slow and easy for now, and keep everybody posted.. Daren

Glad it went well for you. I'm surprised that there are not more minimally invasive procedures being done. Maybe you'd like to add more about what your experience was in the Post Surgery section?
