Hi everybody. I had my avr on Jan 5th and feel pretty good considering. I chose to have this type of surgery and based my Surgeon decision on who was confortable performing it. I t went well and here is a pic of the incesion

It is only 4-5 inches long.
 
Hey Randy,
We had a thread going this summer that showed incision scars, but I must say, I think yours looks much better than those posted on the previous thread.
How would you rate the pain associated with it?

nice scar...we posted our pics about 6 or 7 months ago comparing war wounds. mine ended up being 7 inches with the incision and lung tube scars right below it. i'm impressed with how small your incision is. oh yea...don't worry about the golf ball that is implanted at the top of your incision...it will start to go down in about a month or two. it has been about 7 1/2 months since i had my surgery so i will try to post an updated pic for ya.
