Hello!!

Haven't been here in a while, haven't seen the Dr. for a few months is probably why. :)

I'm pleased to announce that I will be having a boy or girl in January!! Hooray!! It was a "were not really trying or not trying" type of thing! Just happened!!

Good to see that the ticker has enough gas and horse power to make a baby!! LOL!! I'm sure the LV walls thickened a bit from that but it was worth it. :p

Only thing that stinks is that I will probably need AVR and possible Aorta repl. sometime before or shortly after the baby is scheduled to be born.

Doc's been laying off on surgery, giving me Coreg and Acupril to make the blood pressure better and buy some time (not because of the baby).

I guess there is a fine line between too long and too early as far as when to get to cutting. I just don't want to have CHF before we decide. I know he is well aware of it and is just trying to get me further in case some better technology or technique comes along. Having had 2 surgerys already (age 5 and 10, 1 to repair VSD, hole, and one to fix aorta because of the hole) I know that it is going to suck!!! I also know you heal faster as a kid so I am in for a rude awakening.

To top it off, I recently sold a business and started another one, like a week ago. I am the sole worker so having to take 6-8 weeks off isn't going to help my start-up very much. It also stinks to make my wife take care of me and the baby at the same time. I'm sure my parents will help though. Will have to pay someone to cut the grass (unless it's winter time).

Oh well I'm taking it as it comes... Just like the rest of us. This heart thing will be the death of me. :) (probably not, I'll probably get hit buy a bus lol!!!)

Heartiest congratulations on the wonderful news about your baby. Nothing like a baby to clear one's vision of the world.

I'd sure advise you to have surgery before the baby gets there (if it's an option). Gotta tell you - if there's a time where both you and the baby need your wife's attention at the same time the baby's going to win hands down. :D

You guys done good.
