Whe I am stressed a bit, it affects the glucose levels of my diabetes. I was wondering if the same things happens with INR? Just curious since I am still having trouble with SBC over a payment I made and thier bank made a mistake on crediting the account. Let me know soon, I am getting the INR done in the morning. Thanks.

Does stress have anything to do with my INR? Only if the stress causes a change in your eating habits. If you eat more (especially green vegetables) your INR will go down. If you eat less (especially green vegetables) then your INR will go up.

I've been wondering about stress and INR

Caroline:
Although I have nothing to back up my conjecture, I do believe that stress could have an affect on INR. We produce our own Vitamin K in our intestines. When I am stressed, my intestines get a thorough work-out, if you catch my drift. For someone taking anticoagulants, that could mean less production of Vitamin K in their intestines, which would result in a higher INR. Seems logical to me. Now, whether this is a big change or a small one--beats me.

Thanks to you both for sharing opinions and advice. I will try to be calm before the storm. I will breathe and relax, hopefully, till the INR is done, then get ready to make phone calls later on. Thanks again. I can always count in this place and everyone here for some answers. I will let you know how I do on INR. Later

Got my answer today.

Got my answer today.

Well, my INR was normal, 2.6. Go back in to weeks, it was abnormal two weeks ago due to antibotics. I know that I may get reading up and down as I change my diet this summer. My active exercise regiment won't change, it has kept me consistant so far. I look for a hot summer, I will eat less and eat different foods. I will try to be consistant in that change also. Thanks for the advice and do not generally stress a lot anyway. I will be fine. I will get the SBC straightened out soon. It is their banks fault for my stress. I will get things figured out. Thanks again and hugs for you all today.

Caroline do not let SBC stress you. They are the largest screw up organization I know of. I will no longer allow any changes in my service because they cannot bill it out right. When one of my sons moved, he thought about giving DSL a try, well he called and ordered a free trial. Before he even got the modem, he changed his mind and called to tell them to forget it. He still got billed for DSL service that was not even connected. They seriously screwed him up.

Nope, I have nothing good to say about SBC.
