MIF519 Reports back on AVR Surgery

To all: Thanks much for your support over the past few months. I did great with my surgery--beat expectations and numbers through out the entire hospitalization stay. As many of my peers have pointed out, the decision making and presurgery apprehension was much worse than the surgery itself for me. I may have been lucky, or blessed with a terrific surgeon and hospital staff in Fairfax, but it just wasn't that bad. A few minor complications got resolved within a few days. Reading the posts on this web site was invaluable for me. I know that I will have recovery challenges, but on my first night home from the hospital, I am ready to tackle them.

Regards Marc
