Member with the longest St. Jude's valve

With permission from Herb by e-mail..Herb had his valve replaced in 1988 with a Saint Jude's Mechanical..Anyone out there earlier than this?....Bonnie

Well well, that is an oldie but goodie. I cant beat him, on the St. Jude, but I have a Bjork Shiley that was implanted in 1978.

Different valve. Same idea.

Hi Mindy-

Joe's got a Bjork-Shiley too, implanted in 1977. It's still in working order. Definitely a "can't kill" huge valve.
