Medtronic Global Hero

I just wanted to put out a plug for the Medtronics Global Hero program. Medtronic, maker of many types of medical devices, sponsors the Twin City marathon in Minneapolis. They have a program whereby they select people who have overcome their medical issues to come to Minneapolis and run either the 10 mile run or the marathon. You DO NOT need to have one of their devices to be eligible. We have some Global Heroes alumni here (Mark, Mel, myself) fron last year. I would highly recommend this for anyone who who like to try it. Medtronics does a wonderful job, including a tour of their campus and meeting with the top people. Meeting the other participants and hearing their stories is the highlight! Go to:

I just got the link in an e-mail and was going to post it in case anyone was interested - I didn't know we had some Global heroes here among our members. It is good to hear first-hand that it is a good legitimate offer, too!
