yeah, Will - and if you choose a company that does not approve your particular drug, your dr has to prescribe one that they do have on their list. What if you have been through several, find one that fits and then they won't pay.
Don't decide finally yet, they are telling us. We have til May 15th (even tho it begins 1/1) to make a final decision on the company we settle on and by then we will hear ALL the complaints and bugs that are in the 'plan'............ and perhaps we can make a better choice. I think, if I join one, I will take the cheapest because I am not on very much medicine (yet). The penalty they talk about, if you don't join at this enrolment period, is for every day, not every month, so when you read about it (the penalties involved), keep that in mind.
I am absorbing it bit by bit. The latest AARP newspaper has an insert that helps. The book they sent is mind boggling. Decide which category you are in and read only that one.
I hate this - imagine the really old people who are confused. What in the world are they going to do? We know the insurance companies are going to take great advantage of them.
And yes, the drug companies will really make $ now - and we thought they were already doing that, didn't we?
Look how much the medical community has made off Medicare, even tho it has benefitted all of us.
