Hi I am just wondering something. Does anyone know if theres is a difference between Tablet and Capsule forms in medications? I ask this because my Pulmonologist just recently put me on a new med. for the PLMD - Neurontin and she prescribed 300mgs to start of the Capsule form. But I have a much easier time taking tablets (anyone else like this?) and noticed upon reading that Neurontin is available in both capsule and tablet in the 300mgs. ..

Also another non-heart question, I apologize. Does anyone know anything about Restrictive Lung Dis. and how it is mananged usually? - Trying to get ideas to ask my Pulm about. I am writing up a list of questions for her.

Thanks all!! Hopse soon to be back up to par and up to posting more!! You all are in my thoughts and prayers!!

Erica,

I'm not sure about capsule vs. tablet exept maybe capsule is more time release. I took Neurontin for a while for a pain condition and it was one of the few things that helped. I only took 100 mg, in the evening cause it does make you drowsy at first. Whe my other meds started kicking in for the pain(long story) and I stopped taking the neurontin I couldn't sleep because I was so used to the drowsy effect. If it does make you really sleep at first, hang in there because it does settle down after a few days after your body adjusts. Hope this helps!

Erica,
As I understand it, most of the treatment of RLD deals with addressing the symptoms with steroids and oxygen supplementation. My husband works with a team of pulmonologists (he does the bronchoscopys with them) and I asked him what his experience had been. He suggests you ask her the time frame of the progression and what steps will be implemented to manage it.
