I know that I havent come on alot but I just wanted to take the time to wish all of my friends here on this forum a Merry Christmas and pray that You all will be blessed. This forum means alot to me, two years ago when I became very ill with my heart,I did not know where to go or who I could talk to,nobody around me didnt have a clue what I was going through, until I found this forum. It was an answer to my prayers, you all encouraged me ,gave me wisdom, told me what to expect and really truly cared, that has meant the world to me and I hope that this forum will be found by many more like us ,because it really helped me to overcome this.
A year ago I was told to go home ,the drs said they could do nothing more. I was so very sick and I knew that I was soon to be passing on,I almost gave up ,of course as most of you know I went from one dr to the next and the same with the hospitials over and over and I felt like I could not do it anymore, you get your hopes up thinking that this is the best one and surley he would help me but, then like all the other Drs they didnt have a clue.
So i started my own searches, because of the knowledge and expierence of other members I knew I was very sick and did not have alot of time and I knew of the mayo clinic so one day I picked up the phone called the heart drs and told them my story and they said come on up we will take you in and try to fix your heart. And sure enough they did.
Although my recovery was a hard one Im doing so good now im almost back to a normal life,im working some,Im a college student and start in jan. and Iam able to work out 5 times a week.It is such a blessing to be able to be full of life again,I didnt think it would happen but it did and Iam very blessed.
We don't always know what God has given us,when were deep in hurt or physically sick, but we can lean on Him because He knows what good things He has planned for us,if only we all would have faith and trust in God,He gave us himself in the form of love, friends, family, doctors and the best of all; his precious miracles,He wants all of us to trust in him and lay all our burdens in His hands and rest in His power. "To everything there is a season,a time to dance ,to laugh and to rejoice again. We pick up the peices and life goes on and on for eternity and before we know it, it gets better because we have each other, our families our friends and God!
So I just wanted to say THANK YOU AGAIN VR.com, I PRAY THAT THIS SIGHT WILL TOUCH THE LIVES OF MANY,I KNOW IT HAS MINE AND IAM SO THANKFULL FOR THAT.MAY GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU! AND FOR THOSE WHO ARE STILL SICK IN THIER BODY DON'T GIVE UP,TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME AND DONT BE AFRAID TO BE IN CHARGE OF YOUR HEALTH CARE,IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANYWHERE FIND ANOTHER DR,HOSPITIAL ANYTHING,JUST DONT GIVE UP,BECAUSE SOMETIMES IT SEEMS THERE ISNT AN ANSWER,BUT IAM "LIVING" PROOF,THAT THINGS CAN WORK OUT.
LOVE ALWAYS NICOLE
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hi Nicole

It is SOOOOO good to hear from you and to know you're doing so well. Yes, you were very sick---I'm so happy for you! We have DEFINITELY missed you here on the forum.....enjoy college, stay well, and continue having a wonderful life. Thank God for your health.

Please keep in touch from time to time.

Evelyn

What a wonderful post, Nicole. You are living proof that you have to stay strong and not take no for an answer.

May you have a long and happy life!

Nicole, your post made me cry...with joy. I'm so glad to hear you are doing well. You get the "Nancy Never Give In And Never Give Up" award. I hope and pray that you will continue to feel better. I was so physically debilitated before my surgery that it took me a good 2 years before my recovery was finished.

I know the best is yet to come for you.

Merry Christmas to you!

Dear Nicole - your story probably probably makes all of us who know you from back then, cry. You came out of nowhere, down in spirit, without funds, without hope, nobody to turn to. And look at you now. A college girl! You are an inspiration to all of us who feel that sometimes life is just way too difficult - we hang our heads in shame when we think of what you have experienced. And we say a prayer of thanks. Blessins to you and yours. May you experience the true spirit of Christmas. We know you are living it every day already, tho. You have Christmas presents every day, don't you.

Very encouraging!

Very encouraging!

Hi Nicole, it's so nice to hear that after such an ordeal you're finally doing well! I hope you continue to do so, and that the New Year brings you a lot of joy and happiness, and good health above all!

Nicole,

Nicole,

You are a testimony to the power of God and what he can do in our lives. He will not always give us a smooth path to follow, but He will give us the strength and grace to come through, as God has certainly done for you.

I am so happy for you. You sound wonderfully healthy and happy!

Merry Christmas to you also. Have a wonderful holiday season. Enjoy the moments!!
