I had my Echo done two weeks ago and to my amazement the results remain unchanged from 9 months prior. Valve area is still est. 0.7 cm2 and aortic mean gradient is 41 mmHg. My cardiologist said the heart itself is still doing great, but he thinks I should consider doing AVR when I see him in March. Rather than wait until there is an emergency there is an advantage to doing it while I am healthy. Elective AVR ?...I hate making that decision. It makes sense to do it, but yikes! Well, I have several months to prepare myself. Admittedly, I am ambivolent about it. Thanks for listening.
