Hi Janie

Who in Ireland hasn't heard of Paul Brady !!!! He is a great singer, my favourite song of his is "The Long Goodbye"....hope he sang that one for you. Were you at the concert yourself? We have very many wonderful singers here...after all we have won the Eurovision Song Contest more times than anyone else :D ....if you ever see a poster for a concert by the "Sawdoctors" be sure to grab yourself a ticket...they are the best !!

Right on Maureen...

Right on Maureen...

http://www.paulbrady.com/discog/whataworld.asp -- Track 5 -- And now I'll watch for the "Saw Doctors"..what a name!! I see where they'll be in Chicago next month.....hmmmmmmmm?

Yes, I had a "date" for the evening...mucho fun!:p

I think I'm hooked on this guy - Paul Brady!

Have you read your very own BONO has been nominated for the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize along with Indonesia's President, a former U.S. Secretary of State and a Finnish peacemaker. I think he's very, very deserving and hope he wins!!

Firstly, I should say that of course I think Bono is great and does much good work around the world....it's just that I was about 17 when U2 started out and they weren't much older. They were so geeky looking then, though their music was superb. Now when I see Bono talking to the presidents of various countries it just seems so strange, he has come a long long way!

I've never had the pleasure of meeting U2 but just for the record, my husband sat beside one of the band (Adam Clayton) in school and I worked with a cousin of another member (Larry Mullen) :D

Regarding the Saw Doctors, if you have the chance to see them in Chicago, I promise you won't be disappointed...they are great craic :)
