My lovely wife has scheduled us for a duet hot stone massage next weekend. . . wooohoooo. I know that deep tissue massages are a no go but what about a hot stone massage? I would really enjoy it I am sure. :D :D :D If you guys know anything about it I would greatly appreciate it. Seth

Seth, Yes your wife sounds just lovely scheduling this "duet".
Only you know how you feel, so if you need the massage to be more gentle, then be sure to mention it.
Even doing the shoulders, hands and feet is very relaxing. Enjoy!!

Why not?

Why not?

Actually, I just had a deep tissue massage earlier this evening and I'm not turning black & blue. I've about four of these since my surgery last March and I've not experienced any problems. It just feels good.

as long as some small oriental lady isn't walking up and down your back and pressing on your freshly healed sternum i'd say all is fine.

Its down to how you feel but i don't think you have any special considerations to account for.

I've had chiropractor visits and massage visits since my surgery with no issue.

If you are in any doubt deep down inside then ask just to make sure you enjoy it fully and are not worried unnecessarily

Regards.

I can't imagine why that would be a problem. I received two massages while in the hospital and several 4-8 weeks post. Relax and enjoy :) .
