The 2008 get together for anyone interested in running a full, half, or a leg of a marathon relay will be at the Jersey Shore Marathon, May 4th. We have quite a few people already joining us, including many from the cardiac athelets forum. Let us know if you are interested, we can give you the details. I know this seems early, but this race fills up quickly.

I wanted so much to be there that I was among the first to sign on, but as Tom knows, I later had to back out due to a schedule conflict. I can be there in spirit I guess.

Ran a 3 mile race this morning. 30:16 and was aiming to break 10:00 per mile but a shoe lace came loose at 2.5 and I had to stop and re-tie. That ate up at least 16 seconds probably more since it broke my momentum too. I'll have to try again in a couple more weeks, weather permitting.

Congratulations on your time. I always hate it when I always miss by just a few seconds...But shame on you...don't you know you always double knot your shoes, especially when you run a race. :D

I always, always, always double knot my sneakers. I've been doing it so long I double knot my dress shoes without thinking about it. Perhaps from now on I'll need to triple knot plus dab on some super glue.
