It's not too early to wish Makro the best of luck on Tuesday for a successful surgery and an uneventful recovery. We will be watching and waiting for an update.

Makro,

Good vibes and best wishes as you climb the mtn, once over a speedy recovery. Look forward to post-surgery details.

Good luck and prayers.

Hi Makro,
Just wanted to post your surgery thread back up to the top as I noticed from your post to Jim that you are leaving for the hospital tomorrow. Best wishes for an uneventful surgery and recovery. We hope your wife is able to post and let us know how things progress- we worry!

It's hard to get yourself there, but it does go fairly fast, once things get started. Just try to space out a little, and let go of the reins for a while.

You're probably going in tomorrow for a catheter angiogram. Not the worst procedure there is. The hardest part for me was at the end, when they put pressure on the artery to seal it shut. Turns out I have a lot of extra nerve endings there. The good news is that the bulk of people don't seem to have such a hard time of it, so it was likely just my luck to be "blessed" with extra touchiness there.

You will be in my thoughts on Tuesday.

Some last-minute thoughts:

Ask them to use tape instead of a lip clip on the vent tube. It'll avoid a two-day fat lip.

You might want to consider asking for Fentanyl, instead of morphine. It's a cousin of morphine, but tends to have fewer side effects (including constipation) than morphine, and may leave you more alert. See how the doc feels about it.

Best wishes,

Makro,

I wish you good luck on Tuesday, and I hope tomorrow looks like a blur as it passes by.
I really think the surgery is less stressful than the recovery period, so try not to worry about issues yet.
After you get home, if you need answers there are plenty of people here who can help you out.
Good luck and God bless,
Mary

Praying for you

Praying for you

I havn't had my surgery, and can't give any advice on that. But please count me as one more person praying for your complete, speedy, and complete recovery.

Psalms 4:8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For Thou alone, O LORD, dost make me to dwell in safety.

Makro:

May your surgery go exactly as planned (or better!) and may your recovery be swift and smooth. Good luck!

Hang in there. It will really be over in a flash. I pray everything goes GREAT! It is unnerving I know. The first day was really pretty easy because they kept me on GOOD drugs. I did not have alot of pain that I remember. But that might be because I kept my eye on the time & when it was getting close to time I asked for my meds. I do not beleave in pain, if there is medication I can take I'm there. remember you have alot of people sending up prayers on your behalf. Godspeed! ;)

You are in our prayers. Best Wishes to you and your family it will all work out great!

Hope all goes well tomorrow.
