Today I went to my open my mail and there was a ?Happy Birthday? from Valvereplacement.com
It was a really nice surprise. I very seldom post here, but I visit daily to read the boards?it comforts me is all I can say, plus I?ve learn so much! I have laughed at posts and cried at posts.
My hearts valve birthday will be November 21st she will be 2 years old. I know that little piggy was a girl! Life is sure different now. I eat better, I make sure I get out of the house and walk daily, worry more about the little health concerns LOL but that also comes with getter older, I see the sunrise in a totally different way now and my joys of life are totally different.
Having a new valve isn?t easy; I hate the daily pills; watching the diet then fighting to Not gain weight or retain water; the days I?m not feeling 100%(but is also nice to have a certain thing to blame that on), going for my monthly Coumadin check. I still hate my pacemaker although I?ve come to terms of accepting that little beast as a necessary addition to living, Guess what I?m saying is thank goodness for all this medical technology or we wouldn?t be here. And in closing: its my life and wouldn?t change it for anything!
Again thank you to those who take the time to make a difference in someone?s birthday!
