Madison Update

For those of you who remember my daughter Madison, I just wanted to give you an update. She is doing wonderful. It has been 15 months since her AVR, and she takes her coumadin like a pro. We go back for a checkup July 5th. She just celebrated her sixth birthday last Saturday. She also just graduated kindergarten and received the "citizenship award" for being such a friend to everyone. She is a remarkable little girl with a heart of gold. I will try and post a picture from her party.

I absolutely love the "friend to everyone" citizenship award. I think Madison already has it all in perspective. Some live a lifetime without figuring that out. Sounds like you have a very special daughter.

Madison! Happy Birthday!! Your bravery and "good citizenship" certainly help us grownups get a better perspective on our condition. For those of us who know we have to have surgery, and are waiting for the doctor to tell us when, you are a true inspiration. We have only had to be brave as a grownup. You have had to be brave from the beginning!!
