Hi Everyone,

Today is my 6th anniversary for my MVR. :) Everything is looking real good!

Just wanted to thank you all for your support and friendship.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

"Luck of the Irish"? I've always been a bit puzzled by that term. The luck of folks who live on an island where it's nearly always drizzling or raining, your ancestors grew potatoes because then you'd at least still have something left to dig out of the ground after the Brits burned your house and farm down - at least until the Potato Famine hit - and where for 800 years there's been ongoing sectarian violence.

Reminds me of an old blues song, "If it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have no luck at all."

BTW, I'm half Irish.

[MVR means Mitral Valve Replacement? I'm not familiar with many of the acronyms around here. If so, I had mine replaced two years ago.]

Gina,

From one Irish girl with an italian name to another - CONGRATULATIONS!

And, many, many, many more.

Gina,
Happy anniversary to you!!
It sure doesn't seem that long since the 'old days'.

Hope to join you

Hope to join you

I go in for my valve replacement on Wednesday the 23rd. Hopefully next year at this time my anniversary will also be coming up. Congratulations, all of the success stories posted give us pre-surgery guys a lift. God Bless. charlie b

Hi Gina,

Happy 6th valviversary!!! :D

I guess St. Patrick's day is a good day to have VR surgery...if there is such a thing as a good day to have surgery. Today is the 1 year anniversary of my Ross Procedure. It's hard to believe it's been a year already. May the luck of the Irish continue to be with us! :)

Congratulations Gina, sorry I'm late. I've been avoiding St.Patricks day and thought this thread had something to do with it. Once again, I'm mistaken and almost made a major boo boo.

Hey, I'm Irish with an Italian name too thanks to my Ex. Strawberry has to do with my hair color. Hope everyone had a good St Patty's Day but are still feeling halfway alive today!!!!!!!!!

Gina - Think Tracy would mind if I gave you a great big HUG? Great news that all remains well. May you have so many more great years that you forget how many there have been!

See you in May, I hope!

Congratulations

Congratulations

Happy sixth anniversary and here's to many more.

Cheers

GINA, I still remember rooting for you that day. You were my first and for a while my only internet valve buddy. I'm happy all remains well. Marty

...and from me too, Gina.

...and from me too, Gina.

Gosh, doesn't the first weekend in December 2000 seem like ages ago? That was when Gina and I first met....the VR.COM reunion in San Antonio.

And never a sweeter lil' half-Irish Lassie stopped traffic that day than Gina showing her scar on the balcony... :D

I'm sure Raingirlfriend will comment when she returns from Cancun... ;)

Happy 6th Gina! Many, many more. Any photos of the San Antonio balcony scar exposition? ;)

Gina!

OMG! Six years! Happy belated Luck of the Irish anniversary to you! You were one of my inspirations, when I met you in Nashville, when I was 7 months post op! I'm half Irish and half German. The German last name and green eyes for the Irish in me! lol! Hoping to see you in May so we can celebrate! :D
