Hello all,
This morning after waking up and walking to the bathroom I got very light headed and felt my pulse rate go way down, so after getting back to my chair, almost did not make it, I took my blood pressure, it was good 112/71 but my pulse rate was only 45. Now I have always has a low pulse rate, in the 60's but never noticed it that low. I am taking Lopressor for my blood pressure to keep it low. I called my nurse and she is going to contact my cardio. I am feeling OK now after sitting down for a while, the pulse rate is back to 65 or so. But I have noticed if I get up and move around the pulse rate will drop.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Thank you,

I hate it because it's trial and error with these drugs. I'm sure they'll find something that is more compatible, but until then, you'll probably be a little miserable.

After my surgery, when I was still in the hospital, around 3a.m. one morning a nurse urgently woke me up asking if I was OK. She seemed stressed, I asked what was wrong and she told me my pulse rate was at 30. She sort of frightened me, it made me wonder if they were concerned I was going to die in my sleep. A couple hours later when I got up to use the bathroom I almost passed out, luckily I fell onto the bed. They lowered the dose of Metoprolol and it brought my pulse rate back up.

Thank you, they reduced my dose of lopressor and I feel better now with a pulse rate in the low 60's. But it was scary this morning, it was 45 when I finally checked it, I am sure it was much lower then that when I was standing up.

I should ask my cardio to try Lopressor on me!! my heart is in the high 80s-90s. I took Coreg and it went to high 70s, but had to stop it as it lowered my BP more than lowered my HR and I felt dizzy and light headed and fatigued all day. Now my BP is 107/77 - 112/82!
