Lovenox

Does anyone know if the food and drug interactions are the same with Lovenox as they are with coumadin? Does vitamin K come into play?

Lovenox is not injectable warfarin.

It works in a different manner.

It is metabolized by the kidneys. The key to warfarin interactions is that it is metabolized by the same liver enzymes that metabolize many other drugs. Lovenox is not affected by vitamin K.

Ross, is that Anna Nicole on the copy of Playboy? You started young didnt ya? Anyway, Im not ashamed to say I cant take Lovenox. Mentally I cant inject those shots in my stomach and physically it bruises to the point I look like I went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. I would rather go in the dreaded hospital and get my IV drip of Heparin. Its a pain in the pootootie but I just cant take those shots!
