Starting this thread early Louise as I know you are having the pre-op on Monday and surgery early Wed. morning. From reading your posts, you are well-prepared and should sail through this and be back telling us all about it before you know it. Take some time to enjoy this weekend and know that we all will be waiting to hear that you successfully climbed the mountain. Godspeed!

Louise,

You should be home in plenty of time to enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner!:)
I wish you a successful surgery and an easy, uncomplicated recovery!
Godspeed

God Bless,

Thank you for your good wishes. My daughter is driving down for my surgery on Tuesday. I'll ask her to bring her laptop to the hospital and let you know how we are doing.

I owe you all a ton of thanks because you have provided support and insight where I could have not received it anywhere else, provided me with links to tons of information to enable me to make an informed decision, and most of all you have given me courage to face this head on. :D :D

A good friend of mine, and her husband, are staying with us on Wednesday and she's making our Thanksgiving dinner.

This year, I will have an extra special reason to be thankful.

I hope I wake up with an OnX!:p

you will have lots of VR members holding your hand while you pick your way over the mountain. Watch out for the truck - don't sneeze for a month or so. GODSPEED!

Good luck with your surgery, Louise! It will be over before you know it.

Somehow, I have managed not to sneeze since my surgery, 10/22. Don't know how I did that, but I'm thankful.

Louise,

Sending along my best wishes for successful surgery and a smooth recovery. As Mary said, you should be through all this and able to enjoy an especially memorable Thanksgiving. (Let others do all the work for you and you just enjoy!)

Cheers,

Hope the pre-op went well today,Louise and that you are starting to feel the calm that many feel as they get closer to surgery. Prayers and best wishes and we look forward to hearing from your daughter when this is all behind you.

Hi Everyone,

Hi Everyone,

Thanks again for your prayers and support. Preop went ok, I show up on Wednesday at 5:30 a.m., surgery at 7:30 a.m. and over the mountaintop from there.

I'm going to work tomorrow to finish up some loose ends, I cleaned my house this weekend, ran all kinds of errands, got my hair cut, stocked the fridge and cupboard for my husband and daughter, bathed Kaiser and Chester, did all the laundry. I can rest easy knowing everything is taken care of, and I'll come home to a clean house!

My family lives in PA, north of Pittsburgh, they sent me a beautiful flower arrangement today with a Blessed Mother statue. My mom would love to come to TX but she had a stroke in June and cannot walk steadily, her doctor said she could not travel at this time.

I'm ready to get this over with.

I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy your families.

I'm glad to know your preop went well and you're ready to go, Louise. We'll see you on the other side of the mountain.:)
