Hi,

Had word from Lotti's husband this morning. She went in 1:45pm their time.
That is 8:45am my time (EST) USA. They expect surgery to last about five hours. Lets remember her along with ArleneT and Michaelka in our prayers.

I will post to this thread with the next update I get.

Thanks,

my thoughts and prayers this morning. They are undergoing a life-changing experience today, but I pray it will ONLY be for the better for all of them. Wow - what an ordeal to go through, as we all know. May God be with them.

Sending thoughts and prayers Lotti's way - I did post a reply to her thread "Terrified" but apparently it got lost somewhere along the way. Hope she can feel all the positive vibes we're sending her.

Lotti Is Out And Doing Fine

Lotti Is Out And Doing Fine

Hi,

Just received an email from Lotti's husband. She came through surgery with flying colors!!:D :D Some rhythm problems but they should clear up with in 24-48 hours. She has a pace maker for the time being. She was in surgery for just under 4 hours. She came off the vent quickly and is chatting away to her much releived husband.:)

God answers prayer.

More as I get it.

thanks for the update

I'm glad things went so well and hopefully the rythm problems work out soon, Lyn

Thanks for posting such good news and please send Lotti and her husband our best wishes.

Great news

Great news

It is always nice to come online and find out someone who was so scared did so well. I am waiting to be sure the others operated on today did as well.

very good news for Lotti and both her families...
you know......
the ones who live with her and her vr.com family!:D

This is great news to wake up to. I know Lotti was really worried going in. Always such a relief to have that breathing tube out quickly. So glad she's doing well. Hope she continues to do so.

Lotti Back to Surgery

Lotti Back to Surgery

Hello Everyone,

Below is email I just received from Lotti's husband. Names have been changed to respect their anonymity; and mine.;)

"
Cooker,

Charlie suffered a set-back last night when a coughing fit caused her to bleed steadily from the area where the chest drains exit her body. She was taken back to theatre and opened up again between 08:00 and 10:00am this morning, which meant another bought on the ventilator.

She is now off the ventilator but still has the pacemaker helping her heart. When I left her this afternoon she was awake and lucid again, with her blood pressure stable at a good level and all the indicators looking good again. The surgeon could find no reason for the bleeding, and it has stopped now with the aid of lots of clotting drugs.

Lotti will be in ICU at least until tomorrow morning, when we hope she will be released to a general ward.

A scare but thankfully she is on the recovery road again. It also looks likely that the heart rhythm will stabilise and the pacemaker will be removed tonight or tomorrow morning!

Thanks for your caring words, I have passed on your support to Lotti."

Lets continue to keep Lotti in our prayes.

Best to all,
Cooker

Cooker,
Thanks for passing the word on Lotti's condition. I had bleeding from a chest tube site after I returned home from the hospital. Nothing major; just enough to keep me on edge every day for a week or so.
I hope this is the only setback, and Lotti heals quickly.
Mary
