Has anyone read the article about Losartan?There was an article in the Baltimore Sun on April,7 about Losartan.The study was done with mice and the Losartan prevented aortic weakening and restored the aorta to its normal size.The lead Hopkins researcher said the drug blocks a growth factor that causes the aortic wall to thin.The same growth factor is implicated in more common forms of aortic aneurysms.Johns Hopkins is doing more studies to determine if the drug is effective against aneurysms.
