hey guys,
just wanted to update, my loop recorder was put in on friday and it was successful. It was more painful than expected post op, but the procedure wasnt bad at all, I was sedated well and plenty of local was used and I had an awesome team working on me. They put in a Reveal XT, this is definitely an awesome little device, and I am looking forward to getting some answers. . . I am so excited to have some vindication and to get some resolution, I am finally feeling very empowered, and like I have some sort of control over a very uncontrollable situation. . .
I am lucky I have some left over percocet on hand from breaking my wrist to use, but in the mean time I am only using tylenol and advil, and just got some advice to use a cold pack, my first warm shower also helped, does anyone here have any other ideas? I wasn't expecting it to be this painful because they told me I should be able to go back to work the next day. . . yeah right!!! I am so lucky I had the percocet because I am finally comfortable. I also bought a sports bra because I didnt have one, and I am hoping that will be more comfortable. . . otherwise I'll be a couple weeks w/out a bra and thats not an option. . . just wondering, I know there are a few people here with these recorders and other devices implanted, thanks in advance!!!
