Hi Folks,

After my heart bypass ( two years ago & doing great ) have just found out my daughter ( 32 years old ) has Wilson's Disease and requires an immediate
liver transplant in Vancouver. Life goes on and we are in deep anticipation of this new event. I pray that the Good Lord helps me to accept those things I cannot control but jeez...... please look after her!!!

Jack

Jack,

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. I will be praying for you to have the strength to see your daughter through this and for your daughter's surgery to be a success.

I was dealing with a tumor on my liver when I found out that I not only had one on my liver, but also in my heart, attached to my mitral valve. Of course the heart tumor had to be taken care of immediately and the liver tumor we are still watching and hoping it does not have to be removed also.

Sometimes it's hard to understand why all of these things happen. I'm 39 and never thought a couple of years ago, that I would be facing everything that I am now. Hang in there and keep the faith!! I believe things happen for a reason, even though we may never figure out what that reason is. ;) I know what you mean by accepting the things that we can't control, it's very hard. Keep your chin up!!! :)

May I ask your daughter's first name so that I specifically mention her in prayer?

Jack-

I am so sorry to hear that your daughter is facing this. Transplants are so scary and so miraculous at the same time.

She will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Consider it done Jack. "May God grant your daughter healing; and a scared and worried father Peace and strength, during this very difficult time. Amen."
