Hi Gang,
Just wanted to post and let you all know what's been going on these past few days.... First, Tuesday afternoon when I got up from sleeping, I went to fix a meal for myself and ate the meal, then I went and sat down in my recliner to contemplate what I was going to do with the rest of my day....I stretched out in the recliner and suddenly felt like I was suffocating, and I quickly grabbed my cpap machine and put it on for the Oxygen, and then I started to have chest pains-which lasted only a few minutes, but then my heart started to beat or rather quiver very strongly and then that stopped and I became clammy and sweaty with chestpains off and on all that evening, so I went to the Dr.s office the next morning, and he said that he thought it was stress, and I went to see the PH Specialist this morning, and he said that my PH is gone due to my CPap taking care of my Sleep Apnea, BUT...he told me to go see my cardiologist...Do not pass go, do not collect 200.00 but get to Dr. Cutler's as soon as possible, he wouldn't say what he thought it was other than the fact that part of it could be Aortic Stenosis, but I am wondering why he is urgently telling me to get to the Cardiologist's...I asked him if he thought that I had a heart attack, and he said "I don't know...but get to your Dr. ASAP...!!"

Any Ideas on this one? Thanks for any help in advance...Harrybaby:D  :D

Oh Harry! As usual I don't have anything of use to say but I am still sending hugs over the oceans to you and hoping its nothing to worry about - they are just checking you over and making sure everythings as it should be. Surely stress is a possibility with everything you have had going on recently?!

Do you have an emergency appointment to see your cardiologist now??

Good to hear the PH has gone though!! At least there was some good news in with all this too!!

Loads of love to you
Emma

Hi Emma....

Hi Emma....

Yes, I do have an appointment with Dr. Cutler...Next Friday March 17th....I certainly hope that this is only stress, but you never know....Thanks for the encouragement....Harrybaby:D

I certainly hope you didn't have a heart attack because you wouldn't want to wait to go to the doc's office the next day. Just curious why didn't you go to an ER to be sure. Sounds pretty scarey to me. I would have wanted the ressurance. Glad you sound OK now. Let us know what the doc says next week.

Gosh Harry...

a weeks' wait is as soon as they could get you in...

I hope you have no-more of these weird episodes before then...

Take care friend...you have had a stressful week with your dear dad as well...

I didn't go to the ER because everytime I go, they act as if I am bothering them for one thing, the other is that I end up spending 6 or 8 hours in the ER while I have seen alot of the doctors just hanging around, eating pizza and goofing off....The medical practice in my area is really lousy, and so I go to Portland Me for my Cardiologist and believe me.....there is a HUGE difference in the treatment that I get from them and the treatment that I get from the docs here in NH. Yes, it was scary, and I am still having alot of SOB with exhertion, but I feel that they want me to wait until something really serious happens before I go to the ER again, which was the impression that the doctors/nurses at my local hospital gave me the last time I was in there....Thanks for the encouraging words and I will let you know how I make out with my cardio next friday...Harrybaby:eek:

hi im looking for answers for my daughter and you talk alot about you being in pain. so does my daughter ,where does it hurt?i just found out she also has bavd her pain is by the aorotic valve hope im not being nosey just trying to help my daughter

Hi Ohio.....

Hi Ohio.....

My chest pain has been centered right over the heart and also it penetrates right through to the back, between my shoulder blades....it comes and it goes, but it has been getting more frequent especially when I exhert myself in any way, or if I climb the stairs to go to bed. I don't have the same thing as your daughter, who has a bicuspid aortic valve (2 leaflets instead of the normal 3) what I have is Aortic Stenosis which is a narrowing of the valve so that it does not open or close properly (or stays somewhat open) so that it causes regurgitation (backflow of blood). Either condition can have these symptoms. I hope this helps.. Harrybaby:D :D :D

Thank you very much for the info, I hope this all gets resolved with you. :)

Harry,

I was just whining in another thread in this forum about falling and bumping my chest this morning, but that sounds like peanuts compared to what you've been experiencing. Hope you're feeling much better and will not have any more episodes before you have your appointment with the cardio.

Best wishes,

Bob

Well I certainly hope your feeling better as well...

Well I certainly hope your feeling better as well...

This certainly has been a bad week for not feeling well, and for falling down as well.....I hope your not in too much pain and nothing with your heart is affected from this....Take care of yourself ok? I know I should have gone to the ER when I had my episode, but as I have said to others, the medical field really is bad in my area, so I travel out of state for my heart care.....Here's to us both feeling better....Harrybaby:D  :D

Harry and Bob,
I think you two need to take better care of yourselves.

Harry, you go to the ER next time, and Bob, quit taking such a fall!:)
