This has been getting a lot worse I was sitting at the computer for 10 -15 min. legs were down I went to get up and didn't realize that my left leg was alseep and boom I fell to the ground & felt like an *****! Does anyone have any ideas!

Boy, does that bring back memories Sonya:eek:
Had just started a new job. Stood up and fell next to my desk. Talk about embarrasing! Never lived it down. Anyway, this way long before my mitral valve replacement. Thinking back.... 4-5 years prior. Similar instances occurred frequently for yeas. I also had tiny white spots on the back of my legs. Was told this was poor circulation. Which you would expect when the heart in not functioning properly. I would run it my your doc to play it safe. There could be another explanation.

About 2 years ago I used to wake up with my whole left side feeling heavy and asleep like. I ended up in the hospital with a possible stroke. To make a long story short. They took an MRI 5 days after having me on hepriun. Heavy duty blood thinners.
Then they said there was no evidance of a stroke.
Did they suggest you take a coated aspirin?
My leg falls asleep if I sit on the computer too long still.

Hey,
So they think your's was related to the heart thing?

Be careful. I know a fellow who broke his ankle getting up out of his chair due to the same sort of numbness. His was not heart related, but when you leg falls asleep, anything can happen.

I'm suprised I didn't break something usually I realize when it's asleep but I didn't this time and fell boom down I went. What was his related to I can't seem to find anything on this?

Thanks,

I think in his case, it was just a simple case of sitting wrong, letting his lower leg fall asleep and then getting up too fast.
