LaLanne's OHS at 95

Jack LaLanne -- wow, I was trying to keep up with his fitness routines on TV what seems like several lifetimes ago.

And he has just had VR at age 95! Told his family beforehand, he couldn't die, because it would hurt his image.

Jack is said to be doing well. What an inspiration.

Michele, you will probably find it interesting also that Dr. Michael E. DeBakey, world renowned heart surgeon, suffered aortic dissection at age 97 and had a successful valve replacement and aorta repair at that age. There are several nice articles on the web, even some here on the site, about his experience.

These are encouraging stories for those of us in the waiting room facing eventual surgery at some yet to be determined future date.

Wow! I rember watching him when I was home sick from school...He was ripped..He had a six pack before it was the cool thing to do.
