Dear friends,

Here I sit, 48 hours or so from lift off.

The past 6 weeks have flown. I know I feel, as many of you do, that the time I've spent on this site has been invaluable. Counsel, direction, comfort, validation...so much I never expected and can't imagine having lived without.

I feel ready. I'm packed, arrangements have been made, my treadmill is at attention and ready for my re-entry. I really look forward to my postings after the surgery (you'll get it, warts and all).

P.J. (PJmomrunner) has graciously agreed to post in my absence (thanks again, P.J.). My husband will pass the details to her and you'll get them when available.

I just want to say a simple thanks. I feel such a connection to you. Even as you read these words, know that I've drawn strength from your words and spirit. I feel strong, prepared and at peace. I can't ask for more.

See you on the other side,

Kristine

Kristine,
Isn't it great to be able to say you are ready? You sound so very prepared and I am sure you will do great.
Looking forward to that first after surgery post.
Godspeed.

Kristine,

Good luck with your surgery. I'll be looking for PJ's updates about you ... especially to see if you'll still be at NW when I'm there for my checkup on May 18. If you are, perhaps I'll try to stop and see you. Otherwise, I'll look forward to your posts when you are back.

Thoughts/prayers coming your way.

All is ready

All is ready

Kristine I am pleased that we have been able to relieve you anxiety about surgery. It is strange how some of us enter this state of peace in the last day or two before the operation when you emotionally hand over responsibility to the medical professionals and accept there is nothing more you can do. I look forward to hearing from you after the surgery. :)

All the very best for a smooth trip up and over the mountain Kristine.

You sound ready for lift-off...keep yourself busy til then in-case you get bored like me while trying to restup....

GodSpeed.

walk in there with a smile on your face, because that is the way you'll be walking out! (in a few days of course)

Kristine,
All our thoughts will be with you on Friday- I know you will feel our presence. Hurry back to tell us how all went smoothly.:D

What a long journey it is when we start out; can't even see the end of the road. And yet, we get there eventually at the foot of the mountain and it's still a surprise, isn't it? It is good to know that you, too, have reached that peaceful spot that comes from somewhere at the foot of the mountain. We will be waiting to hear. GODSPEED!

Best wishes Kristine, you and your family will be in my prayers...

Steve

May your mountain ascent be steady on a well-marked trail and your descent a focused, constant, monotonous, plod toward picturesque meadow views.

I look forward to "the calls".

You stated that so well!! And we're so glad that you found us!!! You sound great, not abit tentative.......really ready. That's wonderful! Well, we haven't heard from TeresaUK yet, but is sounds like Doug may have had one of those "boring" surgeries yesterday. That's what we're expecting from you, too......okay?!

I went in smiling, as Der suggested and it sure worked for me!! And I went in smiling, beaming actually, to my 3 week post-op with my surgeon on monday. He's such a serious fellow. He looked at me and just laughed. They love the validation, too! Exude confidence, receive confidence. It's gonna work great for you!!

Best wishes. Will be thinking of you friday! Godspeed!!

Marguerite

Kristine, I know your surgery will go just great. Thanks for making sure we get updated quickly. We do wait anxiously.

Kristine,

You will be in my prayers. I have found that my morning walk is a great time to lift my VR.COM family up in prayer......you are on the list. Not a bad list to be on.:D

I know all will go well! I look forward to the great report.....

Best wishes,

Tom

We'll be waiting for PJ's post telling us all went well.
God Bless and Godspeed
Mary

Catch you on the flip side, Kristine.

I'll be thinking about and praying for you on Friday.

God bless-

Ditto all above; we'll all be with you in spirit on Friday, and anxiously awaiting word (we are SUCH worriers).

You're in my prayers & thoughts; best of luck on your adventure. Have a good meal & a few drinks tonight.

Wishing you a uneventful surgery and speed recovery. I had surg on 4/26 and I must say it was not near as bad as I expected. Looking forward to the updates.
