Kathy H Surgery postponed

Hi Everyone this is Kathy's daughter Lynn and I just wanted to let you know that my mom's surgery hasbeen postponed instead of Thursday April 1st to Friday the 2nd because the hospital had too many emergencies today. I will keep you posted with news after she has had the surgery.

I sorry to hear that your mom's surgery was postponed. I hope that she was able to go for a nice dinner in Boston tonight.

Sorry to hear about the delay, but it's probably better than the surgeon trying to rush to get through his schedule. I guess emergancies come up like that when you are at such a good heart hospital. Just take it easy, ask for something if the waiting is making you anxious, and before the end of the weekend you should be in your own room resting comfortable.

Thanks Lynn for keeping us updated and tell your Mom we are all thinking about her.

Thanks for posting and keeping us all informed. This kind of thing happens, sometimes, and the best thing is to go with the flow. Tell Kathy that she will be exactly six weeks behind me!

My prayers will be with her as well as Whiterocks and Lee, who had surgery yesterday and today, respectively.

I'm sorry for the postponement. I know it's tough for your mom. The same thing almost happened to me -- there were no beds in the CVICU when I went in for my surgery, and they said they had to know there was a free bed b4 they could start. It's pretty stressful -- you screw up your courage and your nerves, and you are READY, and the last thing you want then is to be told to come back later. Tell Kathy I'm still thinking of her and praying for her.

As your mom already knows, this happens from time to time. But it's always awful to have to wait another day. After all, she was all psyched up to go - and didn't. But she's there right now and in my prayers. We wait to hear from you. Prayers - God bless and GODSPEED to her.
