Just before Bill & I went on vacation, I had mentioned to you that my husband was facing a biopsy on his liver. Well, after more tests when we came back, they decided not to do the biopsy for now. The doctor placed him on a "strict" diet & already he has begun to lose the weight. He is also following my diet of little or no sodium! And he was a big sodium eater! In fact, he would salt his food until it was white --- yuck!!!

And too, I had mentioned to some of the ladies on VR that my last mammogram had come back abnormal, showing a mass on my breast. Well, I went for some more tests on Monday & the doctor called me today & told me everything was okay! Whew, what a relief! Thank God! I had really been sweating this one! I figured I can face what's going on w/my heart but I really didn't know how I was going to cope w/something new.

So, I just want to thank you for your prayers & your friendship!

Love you all! :)

that's great news, Norma. For both of you. Now you can relax some.

It's good to know your husband is leaving off the salt. I often watch people add salt before they even taste their food. That's just gross and so unhealthy. We in our house have stopped long ago using but very little salt and now it just doesn't taste good anymore. It's so bad for everyone.

Great news, Norma. Now you can really enjoy the memories of your cruise and start planning your next one!!

Norma, that is great news about your mammogram follow-up. I went through the same thing a couple of years ago and it was a relief to get the all clear. Since we've all gone through heart stuff that has shattered the belief that it "can't happen to me" some of the other medical stuff is seen in a different light and at least for me, I now feel more vulnerable. It also makes good news even more welcome.

Enjoy your vacation time with your husband. If he sticks with your low salt diet it will be good for both of you. Let us know if your husband does have the biopsy later on, OK?

God bless you & thank you all for your kind thoughts!

Yes, I was so relieved I almost cryed w/joy when I heard the good news --- I remember saying, "thank-you Jesus" over & over! I feel I can resume w/life as usual! :)

Norma,

I am so happy to hear the good news for both your husband and yourself.

Prayers do get answered.

Good news indeed...sounds like you are doing well converting a salt-eater to life without excess salt...I'm glad you dont have to worry anymore about any new health issues .
