My sister just sent me this photo. She raises alpacas. The 2 big dogs are Anatolian Shepherds, her herd guard dogs. She also has a Great Pyr that guards as well. The little guy in the background with the coat on was born on Monday. He was a little small at birth and my sister had to go bottle feed him every 2 hours the first 36 hours.

Her farm is one of my places I go to for relaxation and decompression. Except her rooster had his clock off and woke me at 2 a.m. with his crowing the last time I was down there.

My sister knew the baby's mama was going to deliver because the Anatolian on the right would not leave the mama's side for the 24 hours before she gave birth.

The dog on the right weighs 160 pounds - just to give you an idea of size.

SNOW!!!...look at it., and here we are on the brink of Summer

...awwwww....how gorgeous is that piccy!...what a cute baby with his little coat on and someones nibbling on that dogs ear...LOL...

I love animals

I wanna go love on these babies! Thank you for a sweet picture.:)

Oops, meant to say that the one on the left weighs 160. The one on the right is "tiny" at 135. They are very sweet dogs - if they know you. If they don't - you better not go anywhere near their herd.

Okay, now I have another new favorite picture. Our friends have a mastiff named Babe who weighs about 130ish; he'd look small in that picture!

This is picture (not a good one) of Babe with Cindy's Perry (I couldn't get them to pose for me). Babe weighed about 110 lbs. then.

Cool Picture Karlynn......

Cool Picture Karlynn......

As an animal lover myself, being anywhere around animals is enough to say ahhhhhhhhhhh.....They must bring you great peace. I certainly know my Juvenile Delinquent Cat, (LOL) Bandit does....Harrybaby:D :D :D

Nice! I haven't seen a newborn alpaca for a little while....my neighbours have cows, horses, sheep, and llamas. For guarding we see, Great Pyrs, Maremmas, German Shepherds and donkeys.
Yes, Karlynn, relaxation and decompression are daily gifts on a hobby farm.:)
