Hi everyone! Hope everyone is taking it easy of you are in the heat wave pattern. I have been busy at work and working on my first afghan. It is huge, but a challenge. I will get it done before winter sets in. I am doing fine otherwise, losing more weight. I am down to 235 pounds, from 280 in the beginning. i have been walking as much as I can this summer. I do a big walk during the weekends. Just to let you all lovely people know that I am somehow doing something right, the bloodwork for my diabetes was normal this time. I went to the doctor last week for the checkup. I am taking good care of myself. Just wanted you all to know that I have not forgotten you, I do pop in when I have time. All take care now.

I am so glad you are doing well on managing your weight! I know it is a challenge. I am envious of your afghan talent! Knitting and crocheting are almost obsolete today! Our next generation probably will not even know what the words mean!!!
 
Congratulations on your weight loss. You should be proud. That's a tough thing to do and I'm sure it will do wonders for the diabetes. Good for you.

You just need a silly little fat troll with oxygen stuck on his face to chase you around for awhile. That would be good for the both of us. I can't run so we'll have to settle for fast walking. :D
 
Hey Carolyne - Way to go on the weight loss program! You must be really motivated, and I applaud your efforts. I'm stuck on that same plateau with Nadine. We're sitting here munching on moon pies and ROC colas and wondering whats wrong. Seriously, I hope your success continues kiddo. Chris
 
So glad of the responses. Even at work, they ask about the secret of the weight loss. I do cheat, but on a small scale. Moderation is the general key. I Am getting more information soon on the dieting part. I will keep you all informed on the weight loss progress. I also plan to incorporate weight training soon also. And a little arobics to make up the difference. All take care now. Just take it easy on the sweets and starches.
