hi everyone!
our vacation in anguilla was just wonderful. it helped to go knowing that joey was ok and that his valve is not the cause of this "mod to severe leak". the valve is fine and has a trivial leak and there is a fistula (artery) that must have been provoked during the rp that is leaking mild to mod. the two leaks made the echo seem like there was a severe leak when there isn't. so... we were really thrilled and started the vacation off on a great note.
it's good to be back home though.

now, just a few things....

mainframe/chris: it's so great to see you are back at work. that was wonderful news to come back to. keep it up!

zazzy: wow! wow ! wow! i am soooo thrilled about the great news. almost made me cry! hope things stay this way. be well.

judi/ jude02wa: so good to see you're home and on your way to recovery. the worst is over. just, please, take it slow.

nicole/iLoveNY25: glad you have a date set for this week. you will be in our thoughts and prayers. where are you having it done? i used to live on hillside ave in jamaica estates years ago and my roommate lived off of midland parkway. be well!

john cochran: is it or isn't it_ this week, i mean? did they locate a synergraft for you? will you be going in? you, too, oare in our thoughts and prayers. please let us know, ok?

peachy: i can't believe you are biking up to 5 miles!! good job!! also glad to see you're back to work. such wonderful news to come back home to!

perry: happy anniversary (2 yrs). i'm sorry i missed it. i only hope things go as well for the rest of us. such great, great news!!! be well.

rula: please let us know how your dad does after his cardioversion. i hope he stays in sinus rhythm. praying for you!

kathy/ johnny stephens: some of us have to get by some little hurdles before it's smooth sailing. hopefully this will be jsut a little one and from here on in johnny's recovery will be an uneventful one. you are in our thoughts and prayers; i know you must be worried and upset. we are here for you. god bless.

nancy: i never heard about joe's fixer-upper...did he have it? if not, when is it scheduled for? how is he doing?
please let me know. well wishes.

if i forgot anyone, please forgive me, i tried to read all of the 30+ threads i missed and wanted to get back in here soon.
i missed you all and hope this finds you all well.

Hi Sylvia-

Welcome back, we missed you. I'm so glad you guys had a wonderful vacation and that Joey is feeling well, that made it doubly wonderful.

Joe's hernia and gallbladder surgery is scheduled for May 3. The plan is for an out patient stay in the hospital so he'll go home in 23 hours, unless the doctor has to do regular surgery instead of scope surgery. I'll be giving him Lovenox at home prior and after if needed. He'll be glad to get rid of that awful gallbladder and have the hernias stitched up. Otherwise he's doing well with his heart. He raked outside for 2 hours today even with his other maladies.

hi nancy!
i'm so glad that joe is up and around... raking for hours?? you two are so amazing. i hope you realize that you set a wonderful example for others here with your courage and positive mindset.
my prayers will be with you on may 3_ i hear gallbladder surgery can be uncomfortable (but, i guess, compared to ohs it may not??).
i'll be checking up on you in the meantime. so glad to hear from you. please send my best to joe.
be well, sylvia

Welcome Back

Hi Sylvia,

I'm glad to hear you and Joey had a good time and were able to enjoy yourselves. I'm sure you both deserve it! I'm getting ready for Wednesday, The waiting has been hard but the days went by fast and today was my last day of work.
I live over in Flushing, Right next to Flushing cemetary off of Utopia Pkwy. I'm having surgery done at NY Presbyterian by Dr. Leonard Girardi. He's wonderful and I feel very confident in him. Thanks so much for checking in on all of us. I hope Joey's feeling good. I'll be popping back in before Wednesday. Thanks and Take Care!! :)
