wow, almost missed that one.. also didn't know about the mother passing.. i'm usually the news junkie.. but then I read she passed away in June.. that was a insane month for me.. i'm just glad they finally have a break in the case.. family can hopefully have some peace and closure.

Agreed. The suspect is in Thailand and Boulder County DA's are going to get him/her.

Wow - all the way in Thailand. Thanks for posting - I had missed this as well.

Although sad Patsy cannot share this with her family - maybe she is sharing the news with her daughter.

and a school teacher - how scary!!!!!!!!

how sad

how sad

i know, i heard about it today. maybe her father will finally have some closure. her mom found out about this, apparently, before she passed away, so there's a bit of consolation there.
still, how awful, all that time they were accused for jon benet's death.
how painful for them it must have been and now for him, alone.

it's a scary world our kids are growing up in today, right? sad for them.

I always thought accusing the parents was a travesty of justice, and I boil everytime I think of it.
I hope they execute the man responsible.

Great news. One more sicko off the streets. I agree with you Sylvia. It's a crazy world to raise kids in. Actually today...my daughter wanted to know more detail on 9/11. I answered all of her questions. Told her I would do my best to keep her safe. Can't imagine having to worry about more children in this day and age:eek: Guess we deal with what we are dealt. Always thought I was short changed not being able to have another child. Starting to think one is a great number!

would still like to know

would still like to know

I would still like to know why Jon Benet's bed was undisturbed that night, and why it took over 8 hours before the whole house was searched.

That's the media for ya. We will never know the true facts. I'm more then certain that the investigation was done properly and many other things that aren't being said, were done also.

There is no closure - and the only consolation is that the father will know the murderer is caught and will be locked away forever. We have not gotten closure in Jackie's murder and will never understand why. Neither will Jon Benet's family. The loss is too great to comprehend so one just lives with the ghosts. I have so much sympathy for this family. Look at all they have been put through.

I won't believe Karr did it

I won't believe Karr did it

until I hear the DNA matches. I feel the media has jumped all over this too quickly. I guess I am too cynical about the case.

Yeah Ross I'm just not so sure. I mean, this guy was a schoolteacher but that was back in Georgia...JonBenet was killed at their home in Colorado. What was he doing there? How did he know the house? There are so many unanswered questions. I wonder how long they've known about this guy?

This guy is koo koo for cocopuffs. He looks like Tony Perkins in Psycho. I wonder how long DNA testing takes. The sad thing is in all the hype it seems to get lost that this was a six year old girl. Not a beauty queen, not a doll; she was a child. Makes me crazy.

I heard on the news this morning that they are very suspicious that this is not the real killer - that he is making this up, but we shall see what happens.

Obviously we have to wait to find out but my suspicion is that he was in trouble in Thailand and didn't want to be in a Thai prison which are notoriously bad. I think he came up with the story to get sent back to the U.S.

I agree, when I was in the Navy, Thailand was the last place you wanted to be in trouble. My wife had one of her friends killed there, he was in the service and it is one of those things that you cant get any info on. I would admit to being on the hill in Dallas during the JFK assassination if it would save me from that place.

I hadn't thought of that

I hadn't thought of that

But it does make sense. Thailand prison or US judicial system? A no brainer.

Peggy: have you been to Thailand? I saw a public beating with the rattan, a split bamboo rod.

I have not been there

I have not been there

but I have a brother who has been there a few times. Did you see this guy's picture on TV? He looks extremely wacko. And scary. How can he say he loved her? I also think if you want to know my opinion, that that child should not have been expoited like that by her parents. The way she was dressed in the video clips they have been showing. They are a far cry from Shirley Temple's first public appearances.

I'm sorry, but what were they thinking putting their child out for everyone to see and fixate on?

I shouldn't get started on this subject!

Peggy,
I understand what you mean. I realize it does NOT (so don't everyone get upset with me) excuse what happened or excuse pedophiles but, a 5 year old doing bump and grind type dancing, is just asking for problems. There are way too many sick people out there and this does not help to keep our children safe.
OMG - I just know I am going to get rocks thrown now.;)
