So I am still deciding on my valve. I decided to joke with my brother who is an orthopedic surgeon and say "but what happens when the computers take over the world". He replied in all seriousness that the mechanic valve does not have any electronics in it so it will be ok. So ... I bring the same thing up around a bunch of engineers at work. They started replying in turn about how it could actually happen and referred to movies. So much for my joke ... I thought it was funny!
