Everything looks OK for Joe to come home tomorrow. His fluid is down and his labs are OK. There doesn't appear to be any indication that he has bad valvular problems.

I do believe that we were close to hearing the "not operable" phrase used regarding any 4th surgery. He doesn't need one, but his risk is so great that it would be difficult to contemplate, and the indications would have to be grave to put him through such a risky situation.

He's been stable for a long time prior to this, and I believe he can be managed medically and so does his cardiologist.

They did a very thorough and careful cardiac workup, including testing for his pulmonary hypertension. Not perfect, but OK for the shape he's in.

He's very happy to be coming home and so am I.

That is great to hear, Nancy. I'm so glad Joe is doing better. It is amazing what they can do with just medication these days. I hope you have many many more good years before another surgery is even mentioned.

Randy

Now this is good news!

I hope Joe never has to be faced with another surgery. He has already endured so very very much. And you have right along with him.

Hi, Nancy.

If you could see me now, you'd see that I'm smiling! I'm happy that Joe's coming home. What a relief.

Love,

Such good news, Nancy. Give Joe our best. I know how happy he must be to be going home and into your competent and loving hands!

me, three. Now we are all back where we are sposed to be - for tomorrow, anyway. Everybody stay well for awhile, ok?

Tell Joe we're thinking of him, Nancy. And you, too.

So glad to hear that Joe is going home. I know he'll have his medical watchdog taking very good care of him.

Nancy,
That is great news.
I can't even begin to imagine what he has been through in his lifetime.
He is a fighter and very lucky to have you by his side.

Nancy:
It's good to know that this most recent ordeal is coming to an end for both of you. Being back in your own home will bring you comfort and I hope it will help Joe in his recovery. As one caregiver to another, may I suggest that you take some time to yourself to bring your life back to where it was when this happened? Best wishes to both of you.
As ever,
Blanche

Nancy,

I'm so relieved that you BOTH will be back at home together. This must have been a real trial -- and it proves again what a trooper you are!

For all of us, thank you for being who you are. God Bless.

Great news Nancy. I'm so thrilled for both of you. You both have been through so much, it's time for things to get back to normal.

Nancy, I just read your post. I see it is from 18 hours ago, so I assume Joe is home now. What a great relief for both of you. All the best. Keep us posted!

Way to go Joe! I think he and I need to go out treat ourselves to whatever we want! Oh yeah, you can come too Nancy. :D
