Jeff is home!!

Well Jeff is home from his hernia surgery. The surgeon said the hernia "was a big one" and that he must have had it awhile. He was first diagnosed somewhere around 1997 or so. He is in a lot of pain now. I had to drop off the prescription for the pain meds and wait 45 minutes to get it filled. By the time I got the pain meds to him, he was in some pretty intense pain. I told him that now he has an idea what a c-section feels like. I hope the pain lets up some soon. I am sure once he rests and gets the meds in him he will feel a little better.

I'm glad he's home, Michelle. I had to have a hernia repair after my first pregnancy, and I later had two C-sections. I think the hernia was worse, but none of them were a piece of cake.
Anyway, I can sympathize with what he's experiencing. I hope he's feeling much better by the week-end.

Guess I don't need to ask if he's on his way to work huh? I'm serious Jeff, the pain you feel now is nothing compared to what it feels like if you rip it open again!!!! Don't do something stupid, I already did it for you!

I talked to the surgeon after the surgery so I know first hand what he can and can't do. I will make sure he takes it easy! But if he gets out of hand I will let you know and you can help me keep him in line! Right now he said he feels like he got kicked in the **** So I don't think he will try to do much for a while.

Poor Jeff - I am glad he is at home, at least. You can wait on him, feed him, pet him - and he will be feeling better soon. Blessins to him.......

Michelle - you tell Jeff to keep down! Like Ross said, if he rips it open, he will REALLY KNOW PAIN!!!!

Well we made it through the first night Jeff was so thirsty from not being able to drink the night before that he drank like crazy when he got home (not alcohol ). As a result, he was up every hour OR LESS to go to the bathroom. The bad part is that I had to get up too cause I had to lift him in and out of bed. Boy I should be building some serious muscles in my legs and back! But he seems to be feeling better today. He is getting around a lot better today. At least the pain is forcing him to take it easy.


Now if only I get to sleep tonight

Keep a close eye on Jeff. Don't want him to have a REPEAT. MAKE him take it easy. Prayers continue y'alls way.
