Hello Everyone,

I am Jareds wife and I just wanted to let you know how he was doing. I have instructions from him to post on here.

Jared valve was able to be repaired with no leaking or regurg. The doctor did not have to replace the root, the doctor was able to re-enforce the root and the valves as well. After surgery he has been quite a bit of pain but the doctor and nurses say he is doing wonderful. They got him up and set him up in a chair for about an hour last night.

He is sleepy today and in pain still but says hi to everyone and I will keep you guys updated.

Kristen

Please send him and you!! our wishes for his successful and speedy recovery.

Great news (except for the pain) and thank you for letting us know. Pain is very normal for the first few weeks so tell him to enjoy the pain meds and go with the flow.;) :D

Get some rest yourself.

Great News!!!

Great News!!!

Good to hear all is going well, we have been following Jared's case and posts for quite some time as my husband is only 33 and we have been curious as to what decisions he would make as my husbands case is very similar..
We will be traveling to the new Heart Hospital in Plano for my husbands Ross or repair procedure scheduled for February 12, 2008 with Dr. Ryan, so hearing that he was able to be repaired rather than the, Ross is very promising for us!!!

Heart Hug and prayers for a smooth and uneventful recovery for Jared..
Please continue to keep us updated!!

P.S. How long was he on by-pass?

Jared / Kristen,
I'm eager to hear more from you. I hope the pain has subsided and everything is healing well.

Best wishes!
