The 5 year data I have seen indicates that the On-X valves have the LOWEST "Morbid Event Rate" of any valve on the market. There have been 50,000 On-X valves implanted world wide over the last 10 years with 5000 On-X Valves implanted in the USA over the last 5 years.
The only reason I can think your surgeon is skeptical is that he wants to see L O N G T E R M results. Maybe he'll change his mind in another 10 or 20 YEARS. Or is the something else HE / YOU are not telling us?
