Hello, I was on the chat for a good while and we noticed that a couple of unknowns had tried to get in but didn't succeed. Is your computer working ok now HarryB? Hope you manage next time though!

Yes, I am all set now Debora...

Hi Debora,
Yes, my computer problem is solved....I was so angry at mine crashing on me and thinking I wouldn't be able to post or talk to you guys for awhile, but, I found a solution, and even though it's not the solution I would have chosen in the first place, at least I am up and running again....now if I could get into chat...lol I think someone must have put a spell on me this week...LOL :D :D :D :D    :D :D :D

I had to miss chat last night, and will miss again next Sunday evening.

When I come onto chat, I first type my name on top, and press return.

Then, I immediately click the "Finger" button to see who is on. Towards the end of each line, it lists which channel you are on. If you are not all on the same channel, it can seem like no one else is on. Normally, you enter on channel 2; but if the owner of channel 2 leaves, everyone is moved to channel 0.

To change channels, for example, from channel 2 to channel 0, type:
/JOIN 0

Jim,
I had the gray screen when I first opened Chat too. I had to back up and get out of VR completely and restart the process.
I don't think anyone else was on at that time. I waited about 15 minutes before trying again, and then Chat was going. There were probably 7-8 people on during the time I was there.
Females were definitely in the majority; Ray from SF and later Dave from Baltimore checked in, but that was all of our male members. I don't know where Dave/Dave was. Did you two have a party somewhere without us???????????????????????? :D
See you in two weeks!
Mary

I just returned home from taking my 2 Party-animals   Home.. :) :) :) :) Happiness is dropping off Grandson's friend at his front door..then taking Grandson home..and backing out of driveway waving at Grandson and his Daddy standing in the driveway. :p :p :p :p :p ..5 days was a little much..Grandson O.K. but friend thought he was on vacation and Granbonny was suppose to entertain him 24 hours a day.  ..but they have open-house at school tomorrow night and start regular school Friday...so I'm glad I did it..but have to admit..they wore me out. :p :p Bonnie

You're a good grandma, Bonnie. :) You're giving Kam memories that will last a lifetime, and that he will pass on to his kids.
But I understand the "I'm worn out". It takes me alot longer to recuperate from a granddaughter visit than it ever did from watching my own kids 24/7.
Mary

Amen to both of you. I love Paige dearly, but the thought of having her for days on end makes me weak in the knees.

Somehow, it was easier with Eric, even though we had no family at all around to take him, even for a few hours.

Best wishes,

Chat was fun last night. I managed to stay on for almost two hours   Bonnie, you're a great grandma. I know they wear you out, but you're terrific nonetheless. They'll consider you cool, just as my boys consider their grandma. Take care, all.
