Peggy in Alaska

Boy, are we dealing with a lot of smoke in Anchorage. There are several wildfires in the state and for some reason all the smoke decided to head into the big city for the weekend.

It burns the eyes and throat. If I close all the windows, it gets too stuffy inside. Looks like are looking at another wildfire season like we had in 2004. It has been really bad. I think our weather is changing for the worse.

Alaska needs a lot of rain right now.

We just CAN'T have the top of the world burning up. That would melt everything and it would fall down on all of us. I am worried about the great north - every season. I think the weather the world over must making some sort of change. I hope you get some relief (or plenty rain?) quickly.

Yes, Pam, I know how bad that smoke can be for lungs and hearts. The city just updated its phone recording and we are now at an extemely unhealthy level right now. Not good for the elderly or the children, too.

Pam - thanks!

Pam - thanks!

Pam thanks for the advice on outside stuff. My hanging baskets I had been wondering about, and the deck chairs. Guess I should bring them in.

But, what is air conditioning? ;)

I wish I could give you some of our rain. We have had lots of rain here in Atlanta. Our air pollution is alway bad in the summer.

Hope things are contained soon, Alaska cant burn up..I havent been there yet, so want to see it!!
