I have my date for sure: Monday, June 30.

I'm supposed to go to the hospital the Friday before for labs and an EKG. Then they give me a "passed inspection" ID bracelet to wear all weekend until I check in Monday. I think that's really weird! Did any of you do that?

Congrats on getting a date -- I think Mary and other good folks take it from here and put you on the calendar.

I do remember getting the standard hospital bracelet beforehand but it didn't strike me as anything unusual. Since insurance won't go for check-ins the night before, I suppose it makes sense.

Wishing you all the best in your preparations.

Congratulations on setting the date. I had a pre-admission a couple of days before the surgery for tests and paperwork but didn't get any bracelet until my actual admission. Best wishes and good luck.

I just put you on the calendar!
Congratulations on getting your date!

Actually cheese cake and Pizza were turn offs for me post op.
In hospital my hubby made and brought to me: honey bran muffins and egg salad sandwiches.
Once at home I ate small amounts often and made sure everything counted nutrition wise.
Low salt, low sugar, low fat....lean chicken, fish, mixed veggies, rice, baked potatoes, yogurt, dry cereal, plain cookies.
Nothing tasted really great for a while. My daughter would test me with a donut occasionally.

I'll be going in right after you ponygirl. Mine is set for July 1st.

The hospital had me on one of those heart healthy diets. I wasn't eating tasted like cardboard so my cardio said eat what you want have something brought in if you want to. I did have something brought in still tasted like cardboard.
