Is this a great job or what?

Just wanted to share this with those of you still looking for the perfect job - they do still exist.

I work 2 part-time jobs (by choice because I get bored so easily these days) and one of them is at a fire station (have been there about 4 months). Yesterday I shared with a few people there that I am going to the midnight showing of the new Harry Potter movie tomorrow night.

I got a phone call today (I am at my other job today) from the woman with whom I job share and she asked if I wanted to come in late on Friday so I could better enjoy the movie knowing I didn't have to get up early to go to work.

How great is that? How many jobs even care about your social life especially when it affects your work schedule?

See, the great jobs are out there, it just takes longer to find them.

I need your luck...I've wanted to work part-time...tried two jobs...first one third shift; couldn't hack it physically...second one in a vet's animal clinic working in the kennel....I think they're trying to kill me...you have to be a youngster to keep up this pace!!...help!!!!

I have been lucky. I got both my jobs through Accountemps, a company that I did not have luck with in the past. This time I told them, in no uncertain terms, not to call me with any jobs that did not meet all of my criteria. The first job I got with them was for 3 days/week (I was trying to see if I could pay all my bills working JUST part-time - hah!) That job is also a dream job with a small company that really takes care of their people (including health insurance if you work just 25 hours/week). Then I told Accountemps to find me a job for the other 2 days a week and they found me the one at the fire house.

I guess I used up all my luck since I did not win the MegaMillions jackpot.

Oh well, I guess you can't have everything.

I could use that time of luck ... on the job front and a few other issues, too .
