Saturday I was in Dallas to visit family. On my way home, I went to the flagship store for Half Price Books there (Northwest Highway near US 75). When I've been in other HP stores, I've checked out the health books. This time I looked at the medical books section.
Bought 2 -- one is the Cleveland Clinic Heart Book, pub. 2000, pd $5.98.
Second book is Cardiology for the Primary Care Physician, pub 1998, pd $7.98.
I'd seen the first book several places but it wasn't reasonably priced then. It's better than the Mayo Clinic Heart Book.
The second book is pretty interesting. Has a chapter on anticoagulation in which there is a mention of patient self-testing and self-management. Mentions that this is common in Europe, especially in Germany (I've seen reference to this here at vr.com).
