We have been having a lot of discussion regarding uterine ablation and bridge therapy. I have located a few articles that some of you may find interesting. Two of them talk about uterine ablation and what some of the risks are. One of them is about perioperative anticoagulation management protocol. What I found interesting about the anticoagulation management was that it indicates that patients with mechanical valves who have an extremely high INR should not be given Vit K to bring the INR down. It suggests that there is an increase of stroke when using the Vit K for this purpose. I believe it said that it suggests using magnesium for valve patients with a very high INR but I'm not sure.
