I have been paying $13.00 each for the test strips. Today I found a company that will sell me 48 for $230 that $4.77 each just a small differance!!! The wed site is www.unimedinc.com Check it out!!

Tom:
Not too long ago I contacted Unimed because my internist told me that their strips were about $5.00 each. I was told that this company does not deal with individuals, with or without insurance, and only serves doctors.

We recently purchased the INRatio Monitor. Our strips cost us about $7.50 each. for lots of 12.

Please keep us posted on this. If you receive stips for about $4.77, those of us here who must pay for their own anticoagulation will certainly be interested. Both Al and I are on anticoagulation and we test weekly.

Don't know if you're comfortable with it or not, but I get my supplies on Ebay. Have never had a problem and they are much cheaper.

I've been getting my supplies from http://www.cliawaived.com/cf.inventory.htm for the past two years. Though I am a licensed professional, I've never had to produce any authorization for the strips and have just purchased them through the online order form. They arrive quickly and and are dated 10-11 months out. Currently they are $219 for the box of 48. It comes out less than my copay for the box of 12 every 3 months through my insurance, and I don't have to put up with waiting for the preauth and reviews from the insurance company.

If the above link doesn't work, just do a search on the site for "INRatio". (Oddly enough, there's another web page on the same site that has the box of 12 for $144 and Rx required. Guess it just matters where you click???)
