Anyone hook up a printer to their INRatio device? I have come across a slightly used UPS thermal printer that my company was going to discard today. It works great, but here is my question.

I believe the device that you would buy would be the Axiohm A711 thermal printer. From what I have read online it has a RS232 serial port on the back that plugs into the INRatio unit. I can tell from my Inratio unit, that it is not a RS232 port for the data port, but the question is, what type of port is it?

If anyone can be of any help, I would appreciate it.

The port on the back of the INRatio IS an RS232 port. the port on the back of the Axiohm printer is a bit different. HemoSense has a cable that can accomodate the connection. You can order a cable (cost item) through an authorized INRatio distributor for patients.

the following link is to a quick reference guide for the monitor/printer set up.

Brendan... thanks for the reply. On my printer, it has a standard 9 pin RS232 port on it, but I thought the INRatio had a different looking port on it. I don't have my unit with me, but I thought it looked more like a mini usb or PS2 connector on the INRatio. Is that not the case. If so, is what type of RS232 connector type is it?

My info says it's an RS232 port:

Yes, I see that too, but that is not what is on the unit. It may be a RS232 port, but the connector is not standard. I would be interested in finding out what variation it is.
